I saw an add in the Jewish Journal that Krispy Kreme would be making sufganiyot. And the sufganiyot - Chanukah donuts are dry. And the bakery personnel at Pico all rolled their eyes when I asked if there was any way that I'd get the order for the parties. When I arrived for my order it wasn't there. ![]() I figured they'd forget my indidvidual order - but that Pico gives them so much business they'd honor their order. Pico Glatt assured me that this was possible and offered. This year I went to Pico Glatt Mart who uses Schwartz and asked them to order me sufganiyot - (Chanukah Donuts) - that are smaller than normal because they are for Chanukah parties for little children. commercial business because they meet kosher standards I guess - but are undependable. They have no time for answering any questions and they have no memory either. The owner is nice enough - but everyone else is rude. My sincerest compliments to Schwartz Bakery!! More I want to thank everyone involved at Schwartz Bakery for all their help, cooperation and efforts, especially when other Kosher places refused to help. We enjoyed our meal- Schwartz saved our Shabbat! We were able to ask the hotel to warm up the food which was completely wrapped. The didn’t forget a thing, making sure we had plates, cutlery and napkins, and even cups! When we arrived back at the hotel, the food was waiting for us, perfectly wrapped in aluminum pans and foil. So we ordered what she recommended and waited. When we asked for delivery, she said of course we can drop it off at your hotel. Turns out they have a full take out menu available! When we called, the person who answered was super accommodating, She took her time and guided us thru the menu, pointing out kids favorites. We called a few places and they refused to help, especially when we asked then to deliver to a nearby hotel. We toured all day Friday at Warner Bros Studios, which was a fantastic time.Īs it turned out, our Shabbat meal with family didn’t work out. So we were in LA for a week with my two grandkids.
